Wilton Connor (Secretary) is a retired successful businessman and philanthropist for the Arts in Charlotte. Wilton and his wife Catherine were instrumental in establishing the Catherine & Wilton Connor Broadcast Studio at WDAV 89.9 Davidson, the region's only Classical radio station. Wilton is widely traveled and serves on numerous Boards in the Charlotte area championing many arts organizations in the city. |

Ann Depta (Founding Board Chair) is the president of Meridian Consulting Group, a management consulting firm that she formed in 1990. Prior to starting her own business Ann was a Vice President and Organization Development Consultant at First Union National Bank in Charlotte. In 2001 Ann was named one of the winners of the Business Journal’s Women in Business Achievement Awards. Believing that community involvement is important, Ann actively supports the arts. In addition to pro bono or reduced fee consulting services for arts organizations, she is a former Chair of the Board of Chamber Music at St. Peter’s and Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Epic Arts Repertory Theatre. In January 2005 she was selected as one of six individuals who received a Spirit Award, given by the Mint Museum for support of the arts in Charlotte. |

Laura Depta (Artistic Director) is an actor and producer who has received critical acclaim locally for her work in Actors Theatre's productions of Thumbs, Book of Days and the Laramie Project, as well as Theatre Charlotte's Blithe Spirit. Laura is co-founder and former artistic associate for Fifty Foot Penguin Theater in Minneapolis and is a graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts. She has additionally worked and studied under Peter Hedges in New York and at the Moscow Art Theatre School, where she played Pauline in The Seagull. Laura's last performance in the Twin Cities was as a lead role in Down the Road and Tone Clusters for which received critical recognition in the Minneapolis City Pages' "Best of 2001." Before that, she co-produced and played the lead role in "Gospel of the Messiah Widow." |

Stan Peal (Managing Director) has a Bachelor's degree in Theatre from Carroll College in Wisconsin. Stan has toured the country as an actor and singer, has written and published plays and sketches for radio, theaters and churches nationwide and has directed for professional and community theaters as well as national and local touring shows. Stan is a former board member and artistic associate for Bald Alice theatre company in Minneapolis and wrote and directed their 2001 premiere production of "Gospel of the Messiah Widow." |

Bea Quirk is a political activist and freelance writer who has written about all aspects of life in Charlotte since 1981, plus has four books to her credit. "Let your life speak." |

Dianne Stewart (Board Chair) is President of BSA Public Relations and Marketing, an international boutique communications consultancy. She has a Masters Degree in Music from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa and is an Accredited Public Relations practitioner (APR) with some 20 years experience in communications and marketing. She serves on the Founding Board of Ubuntu Charlotte which supports AIDS Orphans in Southern Africa and is passionate about all things musical and theatrical, striving to make the experience accessible to the widest possible audience. Ms Stewart is honored to be appointed the new Board Chair of this extraordinary theatre company.

Ashley Thurmond is the Vice President of Marketing and Guest Experience at Levine Museum of the New South. She has been an active member of the community since moving to Charlotte in 1995, volunteering with Hands On Charlotte and serving on their board of directors for 6 years, including 2 years as board chair. Through her work at Levine Museum and in her personal time, she is an avid participant in and supporter of the larger cultural community. |

Frank Fortner (Treasurer) is a retired banker, having held management positions in First Union’s (now Wachovia) consumer bank, and business development positions in the Corporate Banking and Treasury Services divisions of First Union, Southern National and BB&T. Frank enjoys travel and wine education, and lives with his wife, Janet, in Huntersville. |
